There were nights when I would cry, wishing you were there by my side. You never came and so I cried again.

I remember days when loneliness would over take me, when you were all I wanted in my sight. I recall those times when my soul would vacate me, when you were always on my mind.

Throughout all my times of bitter pain you never understood what I was experiencing, you never understood the signs.

And now I understand what I must do, walk away and leave you.

I remember falling down with exhaustion. I thought about you every night and day

You came when it was convenient for you but when I was in need you never came to my rescue.

I'd look at you sometimes an cry because you were all I wanted in my life. You'd look at me and smile. You were sure I'd always be there for you.

Now it seems you were too sure of what you thought you knew.

I've walked away and left you.
